[two_third]My name is Andrew Lord, Technical Consultant for Floatdene Green, and thanks for visiting my blog at floatdene.net. I’ll be using this blog to share my thoughts about SAP end user training, and specifically some of the rapid e-learning technology which is available to SAP customers.
First to tell you a little about me… I’ve been working in corporate training since 1997, and working with SAP customers, partners and SAP themselves. I’ve done a number of jobs including, e-learning developer, technical support, SAP trainer, classroom materials developer, and proof of concept and evaluation consulting. During this time I have worked with a heck of a lot of development tools on the market including Oracle UPK, uPerform by Ancile, STT Trainer, SAP Tutor and Adobe Captivate to name a few.[/two_third] [one_third_last][/one_third_last]
Our primary focus at Floatdene Green is on SAP end user training, and therefore I’ll be focussing this blog mainly on SAP’s own offering in this area – SAP Workforce Performance Builder (WPB). In case you hadn’t heard, this is basically the excellent datango Performance Suite (DPS) which has been acquired by SAP AG, and re branded and enhanced with additional functionality for SAP customers. We’ve spent a lot of time with SAP recently and it seems like there is a lot of effort on upgrading and improving the capabilities of DPS, and making SAP WPB the best or “go to” software for all SAP customers.
I’ll also try and share my experiences of uPerform by Ancile (also on the SAP price list as “SAP Productivity Pak” – no, that isn’t a typo) and provide an informed view on what these tools are actually like to use on a day to day basis. Also, look out for SAP WPB resources, best practices, tips and tricks as well as information about upcoming product changes and upgrades.
If you would like more information about the blog you can always email me, or get in touch via my LinkedIn profile. (If you’re on LinkedIn then don’t forget to check out the “official” SAP Workforce Performance Builder LinkedIn group for latest WPB news!)
Thanks for reading!
